Quick Pantry Wins: Easy Fixes for Busy Households

The new year has come and gone, and as we come to the end of March, many families start to think about spring cleaning.

We start to think about spring organizing!

There is something so fresh about helping our clients tackle their spring cleaning projects. Turning aspirations into completed projects. Turning chaos into calm. Helping create systems to make organizing resets as seamless as possible.

I want to take you through a few quick wins that help your home feel lighter, calmer, and easier to navigate.

These simple tweaks work in any pantry, no matter the size or layout.

Start with easy, but impactful categories

A great place to start is to create categories for the things you reach for most! Snacks, sides, and pasta are all examples of pantry items that we typically categorize.

By grouping these essentials together, your party instantly feels more intentional and less overwhelming. A small step that delivers immediate calm.

Use Bins to contain the chaos

We love bins! They are such a quick way to keep “like items” together, creating a system that not only reduces visual clutter but also encourages things to be put back where they belong!

Bins are pretty and so so useful!

Place everyday items at eye level

If you constantly feel like you’re digging, bending, or reaching for everyday items, this tweak will change everything.

Of course, in order for this to work, it has to be tailored to you and your needs!

We encourage clients to store their most-used items at eye level so their pantry works with them, not against them! Put less-used items higher up on the shelves, and the heavier items on the lower shelves!

You will be able to easily locate these items in your pantry, with less digging! As a result? You’ll find yourself less frustrated trying to dig for those items.

Do a THree-minute weekly reset

Yes. Only three minutes. We promise.

Maintaining an organized pantry doesn’t have to be time-consuming!

A quick two-minute tidy once a week is quite impactful.

Set a timer on your phone, realign the misplaced items, clear out empty packaging, and refill bins. Essentially, resetting the systems that were previously put in place.

Not to mention, this is the PERFECT time to do a quick check of anything you may be running low on. Add it to your list! This quick practice helps you buy what you need and avoid unnecessary purchases.

With just a few systems, you will feel calmer and more refreshed in your space. Dinner prep will be seamless, and grocery shopping will be straightforward, no more adding items you don’t actually need!

As we said above, every space is different.

So work with your space, not against it.

We hope you had a lovely March, and that the months ahead bring warmth and clarity to your space!

Cheers,

Lexi
